Configuring Server Side Tagging with Google Tag Manager and Conzent.net
This tutorial outlines the necessary steps to configure server side tagging with Google Tag Manager, specifically for use with WordPress, but the goal and procedure is the same for all platforms
Begin by pressing the Change Settings button.
Now, to ensure that server-side tagging is utilized in the consent settings.
Make sure that a Google Tag Manager ID has not been put in, and all you require is the Website Key.
For WordPress, we recommend to use the Code Snippets plugin, where you will add three snippets.
One snippet will be dedicated to Server-Side Tagging, and another for No Script.
Utilize Stape IO, which provides a persistent server-side cookie.
The primary distinction lies in the fact that instead of configuring the GTM for Conzent automatically, you will be performing the Google Tag Manager settings manually.
If you opt for Code Snippets or any other similar plugin, the process is largely the same; you just need to implement the changes as detailed by either Stape IO or any other platform.
By following these steps, you will successfully configure server side tagging with Google Tag Manager for your CMS site.
